PROJECT UPDATE  - FRIDAY 20 JULY 2014

DUE TO SCHEDULED BUILING WORKS OVER RUNNING THIS MORNING, WE MUST REGRETFULLY CANCEL TODAY'S PLAYGYM SESSION AND ALL PRE-SCHOOL CLASSES STARTING AT 1300 AND 1345. WE WILL BE IN TOUCH SEPARATELY REGARDING ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

AT VERY VERY SHORT NOTICE WE HAVE ALSO HAD TO CLOSE THE GYM TO ALL RECREATIONAL CLASSES TODAY. A DELIVERY OF CONCRETE HAS CREATED AN UNPRECEDENTED AND TOTALLY UNEXPECTED AMOUNT OF DUST IN THE GYM. DELIVERIES WILL CONTINUE ALL EVENING

Please see Facebook for Daily Updates  https://www.facebook.com/saltogymnasticsclub

Normal access to the viewing gallery will be closed.

Indeed, the viewing gallery will remain out-of-bounds for the duration of the works project. The vending machines will remain out of action as they are wrapped to protect from any dust damage.  Access to the stairs down from the viewing gallery will be blocked off at the top of the stairs also.

We will open the Fitness Room as a temporary viewing gallery. Access to this room will be via the side entrance to the SALTO Centre opposite the new main gate. Parents with prams and people with walking and climbing difficulties should ask the receptionist and should use the lift and select the button marked “2”. This lift is not designed for mass usage so please give consideration to those that need to use this facility. There is a unisex disabled persons toilet at the foot of the side stairs and should be used by all waiting spectators.

This said, space and access to this room will be restricted and therefore it would be helpful if you could arrange to drop off and collect the gymnast(s) after their session rather than waiting. This will reduce congestion in an already reduced car park and in the road out side, leaving space for those who cannot return home as distances to travel are too far. Special arrangements will be made for parents of Pre-school gymnasts and these will be explained by their coach on arrival for their classes. These are being put in place for toilet escort arrangements.

We apologise for the inconvenience the essential building works will cause but we are sure that you will agree that when the gym is returned to full operation, you will find a unique and unrivaled training facility in Bedfordshire that the gymnasts and coaches will be able to take full advantage of. We thank you in advance for your understanding and patience during this construction project.

Our reception staff will be on hand to deal with queries or you may contact Amanda Browne or myself and we shall endeavour to answer your questions.
