Mens Artistic Gymnastics National Setworks competition on Saturday 20th September.

A Huge congratulations to all the Salto gymnasts who competed at the Mens Artistic Gymnastics National Setworks competition on Saturday 20th September.

All our gymnasts performed well and produced scores to be proud of. Of particular note, James Philip became the Regions Level 1 Club Development Champion with a massive 89.9% of the available score and was selected into the East Region Squad for Nationals later in the year. Joining him in the squad with an equally impressive personal score is Robert Missen, who clocked up a total of 85.75%.  In the level 2 competition, Salto suceeded in having another gymnast selected into the regions squad - Ryan Tam-Lit Taylor with a score of 87.76% with our only other level 2 gymnast making the squads reserve position - Cody Hay, scoring 78.3%. Also competing with great aplomb was Harrison Wells and Donal Creavan. Well done boys, you did yourselves and your club proud. London Open on Sunday 14th September.

A Huge well done to the Salto Mens Artistic Gymnastic squad who competed at the London Open on Sunday 14th September.

During the course of the weekend, the Europa Centre in Dartford hosted gymnasts from right across the United Kingdom and culminated in the boys national development competition. Results from the day saw all the boys hard work pay off with a GOLD medal for James Phillip on the High bar with a tremendous score of 9.2 (from a start of 10.0), and a well deserved 2nd for Ryan Tam-Lit Taylor for a beautifully presented routine on Floor (9.6) and on vault (9.7). All the boys achieved a score over 70% of the available marks. Competing boys were: Ryan Tam-Lit Taylor and Cody Hay (Level 2), James Phillip, Robert Missen (Level 1), Daniel Ferry, Zach Pinner and Peter Andrews (Pre Level 1). Well Done Boys

Tulips invitational competition in Spalding on Sunday 9th March.

Congratulations to all our Salto Squad boys who competed in the Tulips invitational competition in Spalding on Sunday 9th March. With a haul of 42 medals across the competition, our boys did themselves and their club proud.

The boys were split into age groups which competed throughout the day. Our youngest gymnasts, Zach Pinner earned 2 golds, 2 silvers and one bronze, Daniel Ferry earned 4 golds and a silver, Peter Andrews earned a silver and 2 bronze with Kain completing this category with 2 bronze medals. In the next age group, Robert Missen took 2 golds, 2 silvers and a bronze, James Phillip took 2 golds and a silver, Donal Creavan took 2 bronze and Harrison Wells completed the age group with some very competitive scores. Moving into the under 10 years, Cody Hay brought home a gold, 2 silvers and 2 bronze, Ryan Tam Lit Taylor brought back 2 gold, 3 silver and a bronze, Freddie Seeby completed the set with a silver. Into the afternoon competition, Jaunaid Pela Aliyu earned himself a gold, silver and bronze, Whilst in the final age category, Imran Chouhury earned a gold and 2 silvers with David Perry completing the team with a silver. Well done boys, an amazing performance.

National NDP Club Development level 1 competition at the GMAC in Birmingham on Friday 1st November 2013.

Congratulations to Ryan Tam-Lit Taylor (featured left) and all the East team, who competed in the National NDP Club Development level 1 competition at the GMAC in Birmingham on Friday 1st November. Ryan was selected as one of only six boys to represent the Eastern Region competing against the very best six boys from every region of the United Kingdom. The competition started well with Ryan achieving an impressive 90% (9 out of 10) of the available score for pommel (left), and completing his 6 pieces with an overall 81% (56.7 out of 70). The team scored a combined 240.950 placing them in 8th position.
