In May, SALTO submitted a £50,000 funding application under the Sport England Inspired Facilities programme (established as part of the London 2012 legacy to fund enhancements to existing sporting facilities). The application was prepared with invaluable assistance from teamBedsandLuton and British Gymnastics. In addition we managed to obtain letters of support from both Luton Members of Parliament, our Local Councillor, Luton Borough Council, ActiveLuton, teamBedsandLuton, and the Luton Sports Network who all unreservedly recommended SALTO and its activities.

Parallel applications have been made to other funding charitable trusts and we have secured £12,000 of funding and pledges to date. We are aiming to raise a total of £140,000 to complete every aspect of this ambitious undertaking and make SALTO an unrivaled training facility in the County and one of the best in the Country.

If approved, the investments in equipment and improvements to the building for the benefit of members and visitors will commence within 6 months. This will represent a massive step forward for the Club. The image is a CAD design image of what the new club facilities could look like.

Decisions are due to be made by the remaining funding bodies in the next two months with the decision on the main application to Sport England due imminently.are due to be made by the remaining funding bodies in the next two months with the decision on the main application to Sport England due imminently.are due to be made by the remaining funding bodies in the next two months with the decision on the main application to Sport England due imminently.
