Q1. How old do children have to be to take part in the competition?

A) All children must be 5 years old on or before Tuesday 5th May in order to compete as this is our closing date. 

 

Q2. When will my child learn the routines?

A) Children will learn their routines during their regular sessions with their coaches. The routines are set by our Recreational Co‑ordinator and taught by our coaching team.

We will also be releasing videos of the set routines, so children can revise and practise at home if they wish! 

 

Q3. What does the £25 entry fee include and go towards?

A) Club Championships is our largest recreational fundraiser of the year.
 

Entry fees help fund:

Running/Decoration and Purchases required for the competition

Staff and Management of the day

As it is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year funds raised also will go towards 

New equipment

Coach training

Continued development of our gymnastics programme

Continued development of the club 

Q4. What does my child need to wear?

A) Club Championships – T‑Shirt Offer & What to Wear

Along with your Club Championships entry, we’re pleased to offer children the option to purchase a SALTO T‑shirt for just £2.50!

Q5. What is a Practice Session?

A) We will be running a Practice Club Championships Competition (date and time to be released soon) 

This is an additional opportunity for children to:

Practise their routines in a competition‑style environment

Perform with coaches present and supporting them

We ran this session last year and it was a fantastic opportunity for; 

Children who may feel nervous

Children who would benefit from extra preparation and confidence‑building

Children coming in at a time thats not their class with different children that are usually in their classes 

 

Q6. What time will the competition be?

A) We are currently waiting for final entry numbers.
Once entries close and numbers are confirmed, a detailed programme including full timings will be released approximately three weeks before the competition.

 

Q7. When and how can we purchase spectator tickets?

A) Spectator tickets are not currently on sale but will be released closer to the event.

The number of tickets available per gymnast will depend on overall competitor numbers; however, we aim to offer a minimum of two tickets per child wherever possible.

 

Q8. Can I withdraw my child from the competition?

A) Withdrawals are refundable up until Tuesday 6th May  - After this date, all withdrawals will be non‑refundable.

T Shirt orders are also Non Refundable after this date! 

 

Q8. What is a name board? 

For the competition children are asked to create a Name Board to Carry around with them and present to the judges on their turn! We have awards for the top name boards in each round!
